Automobili Lamborghini signs an agreement with the Ministry of the Environment and of Land and Sea Protection

Today, Automobili Lamborghini signed an agreement with the Italian Ministry of the Environment and of Land and Sea Protection to begin collaborating on projects for enhancing the environmental sustainability of the company's production processes and products.

The program of collaboration - the first of its kind in Italy in the automotive sector - was signed today, with governmental authorities and media in attendance, by Corrado Clini, the Minister of the Environment and of Land and Sea Protection, and by Stephan Winkelmann, the President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

With this agreement, both parties intend to map out methods for analyzing, quantifying and recording the CO2 emissions (carbon footprint) produced by the company during its various steps in manufacturing monocoques and components made of carbon fiber, with an eye on reducing and/or neutralizing the emissions.The company will also work on creating an emission reduction management system specifically applied to the design, development and production of luxury cars.
