"Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, attended the 2012 Qatar motor show on 23 January to provide a keynote speech at the Lamborghini Qatar dealer's press conference, with the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 and the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante featured on the stand. Said Stephan Winkelmann:
"In 2011 we saw the start of a recovery after the economic crisis. Our worldwide sales were up over 20% and in the Middle East region up more than 80% compared to 2010. Indeed, Qatar almost doubled its sales in 2011."
