Le Castellet, June 30, 2013. Following the tragic events that resulted in a fatal accident for Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo driver Andrea Mamé this morning, Automobili Lamborghini confirmed that it would be cancelling all of its racing activities at Paul Ricard in his memory.

Accordingly, the second Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race has been cancelled with the unanimous support of Andrea's fellow competitors. Additionally, the two Lamborghini GT3's #24 and #125 of Blancpain Racing driven by Marc A. Hayek, Peter Kox, Albert von Thurn und Taxis, Stefan Rosina and Jos Menten will not participate in the Blancpain Endurance Series race this afternoon.

The four other drivers who received medical attention following the accident were Andrea Solimè, car #10, Vaclav Petch, car #77, Tomas Kral, car #88 and Dario Cerati, car #33.

Vaclav Petch, Tomas Kral and Dario Cerati were released from the medical centre after precautionary checks.

Andrea Solimè was airlifted to the Hopital Sainte Musse in Toulon where he is conscious and talking, with no fractures or visible injuries, but his condition will continue to be monitored by doctors for the rest of the day.

Andrea Mamé was a passionate, competitive and immensely popular driver who had been a mainstay of Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing for the past two seasons. Automobili Lamborghini's immediate priority is to support Andrea's family at this difficult time.

An update concerning Andrea Solimè's condition will be issued in due course.
