RELEASE DATE: 23 Jul 2012
As the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series moves into the second half of its season, the focus turns to the most celebrated seven kilometres of race track at the imperious Circuit de Spa Franchorchamps in the Belgian Ardennes.

The challenging setting for the fourth in the six race series commences on Thursday July 28th and could not come at a better moment as title campaigns in both the Amateur and PRO-AM classes intensify.

With a provisional grid of 19 cars and two races in prospect over the weekend, the Amateur class will pitch AutocarrozzeriaImperiale's Leonardo Geraci (ITA) headfirst into battle with his stablemate and countryman, Roberto Tanca. With just 16 points separating the pairing and a maximum potential 30 points available, the weekend is sure to have a significant outcome on the championship. While Geraci will head to Spa as the form man after a strong weekend at Paul Ricard, both drivers will also be keeping a weather eye on the third placed pairing of PetrCharouz (CZE) &AristotelisVarvaroussis from Heico-Gravity Charouz and Laurent Jenny (CHE) of Autovitesse Garage R. Affolter, both of whom also have realistic championship ambitions.
