Sant'Agata Bolognese, 5 October 2015. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 seized third place in Misano in its Blancpain Sprint Series debut. It was a weekend to remember for the duo of official Lamborghini GT3 Squadra Corse driver Mirko Bertolotti, and 19-year old Patrick Kujala who is participating in this year's Young Drivers Program.
The duo ruled the wet free practices held on Friday and then achieved third in Saturday night's Qualifying Race. Bertolotti delivered an amazing first stint. managing an astonishing recovery from P8 to P4 before an error-free mandatory pit stop, handing the wheel to Kujala who defended the P2 gained in the pits. In Sunday's Main Race Kujala started from first row and dueled for the leadership. Bertolotti, once back in the car, achieved the P3 overall.
Also contending in a Huracan GT3 was the pairing of Jeroen Mul and Alberto Di Folco, the latter also involved in the Automobili Lamborghini Young Drivers Program. However, it was bad luck for the :1:1:19 Lamborghini: in the Qualifying Race the Italian was hit from behind by another contender, ending up in the gravel.Despite Di Folco setting the fastest lap in the Silver Cup, the duo was not able to join the Main Race.
The debut achievement of Patrick Kujala and Alberto Di Folco is significant: neither of them had ever lapped Misano nor raced at night. They exemplify the developing talent of drivers involved in the Young Drivers Program in which Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse strongly believes.

Kujala debuted this year in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe and has already gained the PRO Title with still one round to go. Di Folco is the 2014

this year including a Race Two win in Spa.
The Misano round of the Blancpain Sprint Series was a further strong debut for the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 following the opening round win in Monza last month of the Blancpain Endurance Series, by the trio Fabio Babini, Andrew Palmer and Jeroen Mul.
