In the opening round of the Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo, Lamborghini's Giacomo Barri and Giorgio Sanna will line up for tomorrow's two races in third and eighth place respectively in the new 2013-specification Gallardo GT3 FL2.
Giacomo Barri claimed P3 in the first qualifying session, despite a red flag interuption in the short 20 minute session. "We certainly made a step forward following the free practice sessions and I am very happy with how our first qualifying session went today. The temperature was a bit lower than the previous sessions and our performance also improved, so we managed a good third spot on the grid, a position that we should take advantage of in the race tomorrow."
