Exclusive run of 15 units for the 1080 CV hybrid V12 open-top
Sant’Agata Bolognese/Imola, 9th May 2026 - Automobili Lamborghini presents its latest Few Off model, the Fenomeno Roadster[1]. Just 15 units are scheduled to be built, each featuring a V12 hybrid powertrain that can deliver a total of 1080 CV. This makes it the most powerful open-top model ever produced by Laborghini. Unveiled during the second edition of the Lamborghini Arena, the Fenomeno Roadster is the latest in a spectacular line of open-top Few-Off models, which started with the Reventon Roadster in 2009. The Fenomeno Roadster is an evolution of the Fenomeno Coupé that was first presented in 2025. It is a two-seater sports car that combines a new level of performance with motorsport-inspired technical solutions and an innovative design by Lamborghini Centro Stile, which for over 20 years has helped define the brand’s identity.
“Fenomeno Roadster represents the purest expression of our brand values: visionary design, uncompromising performance, and absolute exclusivity. It is a unique interpretation of driving emotion, created for a select group of customers who seek something truly beyond convention. Each example is conceived as a collectible masterpiece, where engineering excellence meets true bespoke craftsmanship,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.
The Fenomeno name follows Lamborghini’s tradition of drawing inspiration from legendary, courageous bulls. In both Italian and Spanish, Fenomeno means “phenomenal”, a name that perfectly embodies the power and exclusivity of this extraordinary model.
This is Lamborghini’s first V12 hybrid High Performance Electrified Vehicle, which delivers a combined system output of 1080 CV from a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 that is linked to three electric motors. Capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, from 0–200 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reaching speeds of over 340 km/h, it combines extreme performance with cutting-edge hybrid capability.
Its aerospace-inspired chassis structure ensures an optimal power-to-weight ratio and high rigidity. The Fenomeno Roadster features manually adjustable racing shock absorbers that allow for a lower ride-height, precise setup and tuning for road or track driving. Braking performance is ensured by the CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic system, developed from motorsport-derived technologies, guaranteeing consistent deceleration and maximum stability even at high speeds.
Bridgestone, Lamborghini’s Technical Partner, has developed bespoke Potenza tires for the Fenomeno Roadster, fitted on 21- and 22-inch wheels to maximize performance and driving precision.
Aerodynamics & Design
The Fenomeno Roadster features a completely new aerodynamic package compared to the Coupé, designed to ensure maximum performance even without the roof. Lamborghini has redesigned several of the car’s upper functional surfaces and, thanks to new aerodynamic elements, the Fenomeno Roadster achieves the same levels of downforce, stability and balance as the Coupé, while also ensuring optimal cooling of the engine and brakes.
An additional spoiler mounted on the windshield directs airflow over the cockpit and channels it into the new engine bay. In this way, the V12 receives cooling air efficiently in all driving conditions, even without the air scoop featured on the Fenomeno Coupé, minimizing turbulence and vibrations.
A particular challenge lies in the development of the rollover protection bars. While their primary use is to ensure passenger safety, they must also be aerodynamically efficient in order to minimize wind noise and turbulence, even at top speed. Lamborghini has integrated the carbon rollover protection structures as flat and elegantly as possible behind the sports seats, integrated into the car’s sculptural design language and flowing smoothly into the Speedster humps.
The Fenomeno Roadster is already considered a design inspiration for open-top super sports cars. The design team has created a model that reflects the rich historical DNA of the company while also looking to the future. “With the Fenomeno Roadster, we are continuing the dream of many Lamborghini enthusiasts. It’s an exclusive and precious looking design; the Fenomeno Roadster represents the ‘feel like a pilot’ philosophy. At the same time, we are showcasing the relentless creativity of our Centro Stile, which has been actively creating Lamborghini designs for more than 20 years,” says Mitja Borkert, Design Director of Automobili Lamborghini.
Even at first glance, the sculpted, aerodynamically optimized front end catches the eye, with sharp lines, wide air intakes, and the striking hexagonal look that all blend seamlessly.
The side view follows the same philosophy: sharply defined flanks, wide sills and air intakes behind the doors ensure optimal cooling of the engine, while the wide and deep rear diffuser, together with the optimized underbody and the active rear wing system, maximize downforce and handling, ensuring stability at the highest speeds.
Particularly striking is the ultra-flat silhouette, which emphasizes a clear center line, and the distinctive cabin architecture with sloping side windows. The design team has conceived a new flat windshield with an elegant additional wing. This ultra-light carbon spoiler is embossed with the Fenomeno Roadster logo.
The car’s silhouette is visually elongated by a rear design inspired by the Essenza SCV12 and 1970s racing prototypes, while also recalling the athletic style of the Lamborghini Manifesto, the design concept created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Centro Stile.
From the rear, the Fenomeno looks futuristic and purposeful, with the high-mounted hexagonal exhaust underlining the uncompromising dynamics and technical precision of the vehicle.
“The challenge is always to create a unique character; unexpected and with a personal identity as a design idea for the new Lamborghini. For the Fenomeno Roadster, we worked intensively on the creative inclusion of the engine area, which has the visual illusion for the driver that it is floating. That illusion helps to integrate and celebrate the driver as much as possible. Once again, we have placed the powertrain as the center of attention. Our unique V12 hybrid powertrain must always be the main proportional aspect of visualization.” explains Mitja Borkert.
The engine, designed by Lamborghini, is one of the central elements of the Fenomeno Roadster’s design, and is celebrated with a clear new engine cover that features hexagonal intakes that elegantly pick up on the Y theme while directing cooling air to the engine. Even the engine is framed by a hexagonal element.
The hexagon signature runs through details such as the side skirts, wheel arches, air intakes, and the shape of the LED lights, a recurring design element that makes the Fenomeno Roadster instantly recognizable as a Lamborghini. The hexagonal shape also appears in the interior, including the air vents and instrument display.
The Fenomeno Roadster’s cockpit features a high-tech aesthetic and embodies the Lamborghini “Feel Like a Pilot” philosophy: carbon fiber, Corsatex by Dinamica, and the patented Carbon Skin material characterize the cockpit, dashboard, and seats. The contoured seats, with contrasting red stitching, support the human body even during the forces of extreme cornering, while the digital displays present the most important driving data clearly. The “Pilot Interaction” operating concept combines three digital displays with hexagonal graphics, haptic buttons, and aviation-inspired switches. This allows the driver to remain fully concentrated on the road or racetrack – just like in a real race car.
With its Blu Cepheus paintwork, the Fenomeno Roadster is one of the most colorful limited-edition models Lamborghini has ever built. While the main color dominates the upper section, the lower section contrasts with Rosso Mars as an accent color that highlights key areas. This combination underscores the sporting nature of this limited-edition series. The body color is reminiscent of the first Lamborghini roadster, the 1968 Miura Roadster, while the color combination has been conceived as a tribute to the colors of the city of Bologna: red and blue.
Multi-Technology Carbon Fiber Chassis
In addition to the powertrain and aerodynamics, the chassis is also a fascinating feat of engineering. The Fenomeno Roadster combines a monocoque made entirely of multi-technology carbon fiber, and a front structure made of Forged Composite®, which offers exceptional rigidity with minimal weight.
The chassis is based on an aerospace-inspired structure called the monofuselage, which is also used in the Revuelto[2]. Instead of a classic carbon monocoque cell, the entire front end is designed as an extremely lightweight and high-strength carbon fiber structure, which also integrates components such as front crash structures, front frame, windshield frame, rear bulkhead, and side skirts made of Forged Composites®.
The Roadster has achieved a similar level of stiffness and rigidity compared to the Coupé, with only a few kilograms of additional weight. Lamborghini has achieved this thanks to a novel combination of long and short fibres of carbon and a patented fluid mixture. The chassis design meets the performance targets set by Lamborghini, while also increasing energy absorption in the event of a collision. This new patented technology is used for the first time in this hybrid configuration on a production Lamborghini.
First super sports car roadster with V12 hybrid HPEV
The Fenomeno Roadster is Lamborghini’s first open two-seater that is equipped with a V12 hybrid HPEV powertrain and it opens a new chapter in the brand’s electrification strategy. At the heart of its powertrain is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is the most powerful V12 ever built by Lamborghini. It delivers 835 CV at 9,250 rpm and 725 Newton meters of torque at 6,750 rpm – with a specific power output of over 128 CV per liter, an historic best for the brand.
This powerful engine works in conjunction with three electric motors, two at the front, one positioned above the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which provide additional electric power and functions such as torque vectoring and regenerative braking. The 7 kWh lithium-ion battery also enables a fully electric driving mode.
Together, the combustion engine and electric drive achieve a combined system output of 1080 CV/1065 HP. This enables the Fenomeno Roadster to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and reach a top speed of over 340 km/h.
The braking system, equipped with CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic discs made of a three-dimensional structure of long carbon fibers embedded in a carbon matrix and a special coating that increases the durability of both discs and pads, ensures a high and stable friction coefficient. The system is designed for use in combination with organic racing brake pads. The CCM-R Plus also features a ventilation system that reduces the temperature of discs and pads under dynamic conditions.
To deliver perfect driving dynamics and ensure the vehicle is as fun to drive as possible, the Fenomeno Roadster is fitted with racing shocks that can be manually calibrated to allow the perfect stance and setup to be achieved for the track and type of use. They also offer optimum damping performance that keeps body movement in check, as well as greater travel ratio between wheel and shock. The result is suspension kinematics that allow the shocks to work at their best and therefore offer extraordinary sports driving behavior.
Vehicle dynamics
Management of vehicle dynamics is entrusted to a series of specific components. At the heart of Fenomeno’s integrated control system is the 6D sensor coupled with innovative vehicle dynamic control logics, introduced on the Fenomeno coupé for the first time. The 6D sensor is installed strategically close to the vehicle’s center of gravity and is directly connected to the IPB (Integrated Power Brake) control unit. Its function is to provide measurements of the acceleration on all three axes (lateral, longitudinal and vertical) in real time, as well as the angular velocity also for all three axes (pitch, roll and yaw). This information allows for an accurate estimation of the vehicle’s speed, the side-slip angle and the instantaneous coefficient of friction between tires and road surface.
Tires
As Lamborghini’s Official Technical Partner and exclusive tire supplier for its complete super sportscar range, Bridgestone has custom-engineered two premium Potenza tires to unlock the new Fenomeno Roadster’s full potential on and off the track.
The Fenomeno Roadster’s bespoke Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tires are designed to optimize the exclusive supercar’s immense capabilities and V12 hybrid powertrain. Available in 265/30 ZRF21 (front) and 355/25 ZRF22 (rear) sizes, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires combine exceptional high-speed performance with excellent steering response and precision. This fitment is also available with Bridgestone's Run-Flat Technology (RFT), which allows drivers to continue driving safely even after a puncture.
The Potenza Sport fitment will be paired with a bespoke semi-slick, next-generation Bridgestone tire that is engineered to deliver outstanding track-level performance – leveraging Bridgestone’s extensive motorsport expertise. Available in 20- and 21-inch sizes, this high-grip tire unlocks the Fenomeno Roadster’s full performance potential on track, while remaining fully homologated for public roads.
The Bridgestone tires feature the unique Lamborghini marking on their sidewall to highlight their exclusive development. Both fitments are developed and manufactured in Italy, applying Bridgestone’s proprietary Virtual Tire Development (VTD) technology. VTD improves both the efficiency and sustainability of the tire development process – leading to an up to 60 percent reduction in raw material consumption and CO2 emissions in the development phase, while reducing development time.
Extreme roadster with unique pedigree
Lamborghini boasts a unique heritage of Few-Off super sports cars. This tradition began in 2007 with the Reventón: the first Few-Off model, entirely developed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile in Sant’Agata, pioneering this concept created by the company itself. The Reventón, together with its Roadster version introduced in 2009, laid the foundations for a series of iconic V12 Few-Off models, including Veneno (2013), Centenario (2016) and Sián (2019), all also presented in Roadster versions. Beyond their historical value, these models have consistently served as a testing ground for stylistic and technical solutions later applied to production models.
