New model will replace the outgoing Huracán for all three continental series from 2027 season
Sant’Agata Bolognese/Imola, 11 May 2026 – Lamborghini officially unveiled the new Temerario Super Trofeo, the next generation car for the one-make category which will be used across its continental championships in Asia, Europe and North America from the 2027 season, as part of the second edition of Lamborghini Arena.
After making its static debut last year at the Lamborghini World Finals at the Misano World Circuit, the new model was presented in its final version during the second round of the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season, just 75km from the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters at Autodromo di Imola. Lamborghini Factory Driver Marco Mapelli put the car through its paces between the two 50-minute races on Sunday afternoon.
The Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo represents a significant evolution in Lamborghini's technical and sporting journey in what has been the benchmark championship for its customer racing drivers since 2009. Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated: “Last weekend, we have not only celebrated the incredible history of Lamborghini, but also to open a new chapter in our motorsport journey. The Temerario Super Trofeo represents a completely new direction and marks the beginning of a new for Squadra Corse. For the first time, our Super Trofeo cars will be powered by a turbocharged powertrain and will be built entirely in-house at Automobili Lamborghini. This investment reflects a clear vision that motorsport is not simply a side project, but a core pillar of Lamborghini supported by a long-term strategy.”
The Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo, derived from the road-going version and the smaller sister of the Temerario GT3, which made its world debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring last March, is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine capable of delivering 620 hp at 7,000 rpm and 650 Nm of torque.
Equipped with a Hoer sequential six-speed gearbox, the rear-wheel drive Temerario Super Trofeo weighs 1,392 kg, with a hybrid ALU/CFRP chassis with an integrated FIA roll cage. The suspension arm mounting concept is new, with front and rear double wishbones.
The aerodynamics are also new, developed to maximize efficiency on every circuit configuration, with a rear fin for cornering stability. The Temerario Super Trofeo also features electro-hydraulic power steering with adjustable feedback.
The price of the car in Europe is €295,000 + VAT and duties, including shipping. In the United States, it is $399,000 + taxes, if applicable, and includes shipping. In the Asia-Pacific region, the price is €299,000 + VAT and duties, if applicable.
The Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo replaces the Huracán Super Trofeo, introduced in 2015 and subsequently evolved twice, in 2019 and 2022.
Having debuted in 2024, Lamborghini Arena returned for its second edition last weekend at the Imola circuit. The event featured a parade of more than 400 Lamborghini models, delivering a truly unique spectacle for all involved. Lamborghini Arena is the largest gathering of Lamborghini’s customers and fans with various activations and family-friendly activities around the paddock. Of particular note was the Polo Storico, an array of some of the finest models Lamborghini has produced, complimenting both the on and off-track action.
As well as giving customers of Lamborghini’s production cars a chance to embrace the historic and unique confines of the Imola track, last weekend also played host to the second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe championship which supported the Arena event, with free practice and qualifying taking place on Saturday and a pair of 50-minute races held on Sunday. Round three of the one-make championship dedicated to the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 will take place at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit next month.
Andrea Reggiani, Lamborghini Head of Motorsport: “With this product, our goal was to develop a car that is driver friendly while integrating more sophisticated components. The new Temerario Super Trofeo is deeply connected to our GT3 platform, sharing key components such as the gearbox and the braking system. At the same time, the car features important differences to the GT3 model: the turbochargers are the same the road-going Temerario and the car is fitted by 4-way adjustable KW Automotive dampers.”
