Born in Bergamo on 22 June 1966, Paolo Poma graduated in Management Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and subsequently obtained an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
He began his career in the construction sector, working in operations, before joining the consultancy firm McKinsey & Company in Milan in 2000. In 2002, he was appointed Director of Planning and M&A at Ducati, and, in 2005, he held the same role at the Tenaris Group in Buenos Aires.
In 2007, he returned to Ducati, where he held various positions in the financial area, ultimately taking on the role of CFO in 2011. Following the acquisition of Ducati by the Volkswagen Group, in 2015 he was appointed CFO and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Italia.
Since June 2017, he has acted as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Automobili Lamborghini. Since 2019, he has also been Vice President of the Italo-German Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member of the pension fund “Previlabor”.
