Mitja Borkert has been Head of Design at Lamborghini Centro Stile since April 2016 and Design Director since November 2023.
Mr. Borkert is responsible for the design of future Lamborghini models and the coordination of the design team.
Borkert is German, aged 49, and attended the Design University of Pforzheim where he graduated in Transportation Design. In 1999, he began work at Style Porsche, in Weissach, holding various positions, including General Manager Advanced Design until 2014, when he was appointed Director of Exterior Design. He contributed to the development of several Porsche models (Panamera Sport Turismo, Porsche Boxster 987 facelift, Cayenne, Macan, Mission E).
Since his arrival at Lamborghini, he has overseen several projects including the creation of the Urus and the Terzo Millennio (2017), the Vision Gran Turismo (2019), the Sián (2019), the Countach LPI 800-4 (2021), the Revuelto (2023), and the Lanzador (2023).
