Sant’Agata Bolognese/Snetterton, May 29, 2017
Six races, three wins: the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of the English team Barwell Motorsport is continuing with its series of positive results in the British GT Championship. After the double win in Race 1 and Race 2 in the opening round at Oulton Park last April, there was a first place in the Snetterton 300, the third double round of the season on Sunday, May 28th.
The protagonists were Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen, 2016 British GT vice-champions with the Huracán GT3, who after getting the pole position ahead Aston Martin and Bentley, took the win in Race 1 and prevailed over Barwell's sister car, the Huracan GT3 #6 driven by Liam Griffin and Sam Tordoff.
The latter, a few hours later, gained another solid second place in Race 2. The Huracan GT3 # 33 driven by Minshaw and Keen, instead, after leading the race until a few minutes before the checkered flag, finished in sixth place due to a drive-thru penalty for time limit during the driver change.
The duo formed by Minshaw and Keen and the Barwell Motorsport team are now firmly leading both the driver and team standings, respectively with 23.5 and 46 points of advantage.
